Building digital experiencesthat work where thingstypically don't.
I used to live in Figma, and I still design. Most days now I'm directing rather than drawing, though I'll still go in and shape something by hand when it needs it. I make the product and design calls, agents do the building, and I document the decisions and the why behind them, so teammates and future me aren't left guessing the intent.
I've built mostly in emerging markets: Freetown, thin infrastructure, real constraints. That's where I am, and where it's mattered most. But the market isn't the skill. Product sense and a way of directing these tools that holds up anywhere the problem is hard enough to need it.
This site is one of the proofs: designed, built, and shipped this way, decision log in the open. I'm building toward the room where that goes furthest: a remote team or a frontier lab, AI-native, on things that matter.
How I got here
Freetown → the world.
It started in late 2020, in second year of uni. I was consulting under no name with my friend Alhaji AbuBakarr Barrie, building things for people with the little we'd learned from programming. Software around here mostly worked; the experience of using it was an afterthought. That gap became my lane. I went deep on design, product, and user experience: how they connect to business goals and engineering, and how to bring them together. Barrie went deep on the engineering itself, a deliberate split so the consulting could take on bigger work and actually deliver it. My first job came through a recommendation and a take-home assignment.
Then a remote role with Akaani, a food marketplace for the African diaspora, and MeDomot, where the job was two mobile apps digitizing waste collection in Freetown. In 2022 the consulting took a name: Atheam Technologies, a studio giving Sierra Leonean small businesses a real presence on the web. Short for A Team: most of our group projects had gone well, we'd won a national hackathon, and the name felt fitting. After that came leading design at Peculiar Labs through a national election, a stretch inside government at the Directorate of Science, Technology & Innovation, and Christex Foundation, building zero-to-one across fintech, civic tech, and Web3. Those are the flagships on this site.
That lane led here: today I work as an AI-native product person. I build constantly, with coding agents doing the labor and me making the calls. This site is one of the proofs.

Teaching whatI practice.
Some days I'm the one at the front of the room. The rooms keep changing, and so do the people in them: founders, freelancers, corporate teams, students. Sometimes the room invites me; sometimes it's a speech I feel like giving, or somewhere I feel like volunteering. If I can't explain a decision to a room full of questions, I don't understand it yet.
